“Hey Rod........someone told me that you can eat egg shells and that they are actually good for you. Any truth to this?”
“Hell yeah, egg shells are loaded with calcium, protein along with other minerals. The best way to eat them is first make sure the outside of the shell is clean, don't worry about the inside, even the membrane is good. Next, dry them out and then pulverize these shells with whatever works for you. I put them in a cookie pan and use a tin can crushing them down to a small size and then put them in a coffee grinder or something similar to grind them into a powder. You can add ½ teaspoon of powdered eggshells to your cereal, porridge or smoothie each morning for your daily dose of calcium each day keeping your bones and teeth strong. Egg shells are also very good for your garden, dogs and birds too, (especially chickens) so from now on, save those eggshells and utilize the whole egg. An egg a day helps keep the arthritis away. Oh....if your a coffee drinker, adding some egg shells to your fresh coffee grounds will make your coffee taste more rich and mellow. I wonder if Timmies knows this???”
