"Hey Rod.....any other weather related info?"
"Yes, did you know that the Sun generates the weather? Think of it as the Master of the Universe. It causes heat, wind, rain, sleet, hail and snow. It also helps create the low and high pressure systems. The sun is too far away from the earth to heat it directly, but solar rays are converted to 'heat' when they are absorbed by the earth. Heat radiated from the surface of the earth warms the air above, so the sun does not directly warm the air. As warm air rises, and heavier cool air moves in to replace it, this process creates winds. The sun also creates evaporation by adding moisture to the air, where eventually, this water vapor condenses and returns to earth in some form of precipitation. The other awesome thing the sun does..... it gives us daylight!!"
