“Hey Rod........the waters rising and it looks like we're going to get flooded. We get our drinking water from a well and I believe it's going to be badly contaminated. Short of buying bottled water, that goes completely against my grain, (who would of ever thought that one day you would actually go to a store and BUY water) what should I do?”
“I know what you mean, they filter the hell out of the water, take out all the good minerals like Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium and Zinc, then add god knows what to it, or not. Some of it doesn't even taste like water anymore. Unless you live by a mountain spring somewhere, your going to have to make do with either rain water (that you can filter yourself with some cloth, sand and carbon) or you're going to have to boil your water to kill any bad kind of bacteria that may have gotten into your existing water. A few drops of bleach will also purify a gallon of water once you filter the mud and other debris out of it. Bleach will killbacteria and viruses found in water, but may not kill all, it does not remove chemicals or other toxins from the water. Good water isn't appreciated as much as it should be, most cities have chlorine, fluoride and who knows what added to it, it's no wonder people are buying water. Water, water everywhere, but not a drop of Quick. (an old commercial)”
