"Hey Rod.....every year around this time when it starts to warm up and still get cold at night, I get a sore throat and get the sniffles. Is there anything natural that I can take for that?"

"Yes, there are a couple of different remedies that are all natural and good for sore throats. First one is fill a half-pint jar with half the lemon slices from a lemon (use more if needed, depends on the size of your lemons). Add 1 tsp of freshly grated ginger, and ¼ cup of honey. Stir everything so that the honey can cover all of the lemon slices. Add more lemon slices until the jar is about 3/4 full. Now add another tsp grated ginger and some more honey to soak everything good. Leave the mixture sit for 3-4 hours. Take a tsp. of this syrup 3 or 4 times a day. Store in a refrigerator. This homemade sore throat syrup can last for 2-3 months if stored properly. I hope this helps. I'll give you the other recipe tomorrow, as it involves onions and we know what that can do to your breath. Relax....it has honey too."
