“Hey Rod........have you ever heard of burdock and dandelion soda? Apparently, this drink dates back to the 13th century in England, but then those dudes would drink all kinds of weird stuff because a lot of the water wasn't safe to drink.”

“Your right, that soda has been around for a long time, mostly forgotten by most of the population. You can make your own soda using a couple of burdock root and several dandelion roots, 1 tsp vanilla, ¼ tsp cinnamon, a lemon and 300g sugar (you can substitute honey for the sugar) and a pint of water. Clean the roots and chop them up really fine and place them into a pan with the pint of water. Next add the vanilla, cinnamon and juice from one lemon. Boil this concoction for about 20 min., remove from heat and strain the liquid out, while it's still warm, add the sugar or honey, stirring until it's all dissolved. Once it cools off, dilute with filtered water to your own taste. A lot like root beer but without the 'sassafras'...... maybe try making that next. I wonder what a burdock and dandelion chocolate float would be like? I'll have to try that one of these 'hot summer days' or......... would you offer your throat to the wolf with the red roses?” (Meatloaf)
