"Hey Rod..... when you go 'off grid', how do you support yourself?"

"Just because you're off grid, doesn't mean you're off of living a normal life. Some people still keep their city jobs and travel back and forth to work. Others have animals or gardens that supplement their income. When we lived in the bush, I trapped in the winter and worked on my brother-in-laws bush-mill (a head-rig with a board edger set up) to earn money. Another family down the road made custom cribbage boards. Someone else had a guiding outfit, another did wood working. There are hundreds of ways to support yourself, if you're willing to put in the effort. It takes a lot of work to run a business, do all your chores and keep up with everyday life. But, it's a good life...... if you plan it right."
